Fortnite review
Fortnite is a multi platform co-op game developed by Epic Games studios, which quickly became number one game of 2018. It keeps growing in popularity on ALL the platforms and smash any records. It's a free to play game which offers in game paid items such as skins, etc.
It is different than most of the free to play games that offer in game purchases, because you dont have to buy expensive stuff in order to be able to win. All you can buy is cool costumes and skins which doesnt affect the game play in any way.
Launched on 25th of July 2017, it didnt catch on until later when it exploded in popularity. In December were over 30 millions people playing the game, and now with over 40 million. The game peaked at just over 2 million players playing in the same time. Thats a lot :).
The game itself is quite straight forward and easy to understand. 100 players are dropped onto an island and they have to fight each other until only one remain. Before the actual round begins, you can wonder around looking for guns, ammo and any other items you can find to help you in the battle.
The island looks like a deserted island with half buildings, no inhabitants and a slight apocalyptic air. There is a big Storm brewing though and you as a player have to do your best to get out of its way. You will be done is the storm catches you.
During the battles, players can and are advised to, build buildings as a team. One can build walls, another can build stairs , etc. All these buildings will give you an edge over the opponents.
Another impressive thing about Fortnite, is that the developers (Epic Games) are adding new content on a regular basis. Since the 2017 launch date, the game received A LOT of updates that added A LOT of new content to keep players busy. Fortnite runs very smooth on any platform we tried it on and is a highly recommended game to try :)
